    • prepare quotes and carry out the work

    Workmanship Warranty

    Perfex Painting offers a 5-year workmanship warranty, but only on work carried out under a written quote that you have accepted.

    When the warranty applies

    The 5-year workmanship warranty applies only where:

    • you have accepted our written quote (by signing it or confirming acceptance in writing), and
    • the accepted quote states that the 5-year workmanship warranty is included, and
    • the work has been completed and paid for in full.

    Work done without an accepted quote, including verbal agreements, variations not confirmed in writing, and touch-ups or small jobs done on request, is not covered by this warranty.

    What it covers

    The warranty covers defects caused by our workmanship, such as peeling, flaking or blistering due to poor preparation or application, for 5 years from the date the work is completed.

    What it doesn't cover

    The warranty does not cover:

    • normal wear and tear, fading or chalking over time
    • damage from impact, cleaning with harsh products, or misuse
    • problems caused by moisture, rising damp, leaks, structural movement or cracking in the building
    • failure of existing coatings or surfaces we were asked to paint over as-is
    • surfaces excluded or noted as limited in the quote
    • work that has been altered or repaired by anyone other than Perfex Painting
    • paint product defects, which are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty

    How to make a claim

    Contact us in writing as soon as you notice a problem, with photos and your quote or invoice number. We'll inspect the work and, if it's covered, repair it at no cost to you.

    Your consumer rights

    This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that they will be provided with due care and skill. Nothing in this warranty limits those rights.
